A Walk in Forest Hill Park, Dec 26, 2011
I took the photographs above the day after Christmas, obviously. I hadn't planned on going to the park. But I had planned on exercising one way or another. And the sun was shining. That's what really did it. I worship that great ball of fire. Absolutely crave it. So each time I looked out of my attic window, where I was clicking away on my keyboard, a nagging thought relentlessly bugged me: Get outside now, or never.
Next thing I knew, my camera and I were on a mission to get the shot at the park we'd missed two days before, when it was cloudy out. See what I mean? This is the boathouse in Forest Hill Park on December 24, Christmas Eve.
Good thing I made it out there, too. The very next day, December 27, it snowed.
Both my son, Jarod, and I took pictures of the street below my window. I think this is his–and one of the best photos from the day's shoot.
